An Armchair Gander Into American Life Post Terror

In order for one to “never forget,” you must show through your behavior that your memory is intact. Now, you may be asking yourself the question that logically follows such an assertion: What kinds of behaviors are indicative of functioning memory? How can I tell if my memory works?!
Simmer down now children, all is answered for in due time. One of the most helpful tools in characterizing an unknown, in this case the types of behaviors that demonstrate memory, we can exercise our minds together in identifying behaviors of forgetting!
On the 25th anniversary of the gravest terror attack on American soil and one of the most world-altering events of the 21st Century, true introspective Patriots can’t help but question whether or not America, NYC specifically, has honored their pledge to “Never Forget” or if, in fact, we’ve forgotten it all.
Irrespective of your beliefs on the events leading up to, or those that followed, the hideous acts of 9/11/01, the fact still remains that nearly 2,977 of our fellow countrymen died at the behest of radicalized foreign agitators. Circling back to the originally proposed thought experiment, what are some indicators that we’ve remembered only the words left to us in the wake of 9/11, but have completely forgotten its visceral impact through our nation’s current behaviors? I will leave you with three to ponder for yourself…
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani gifting the commemorative signing pen for his 9/11 commemoration executive order to none other than Ramzi Kaseem — former legal defense for prisoners of Guantanamo Bay, including a Mister Ahmed al-Darbi, a convicted member of al-Qaeda who has been directly tied to a 9/11 hijacker. Regardless of intention… optics, Zohran! Not a great look, pal…
United Airlines Denver, CO stunt! Who signed off on the idea that flying a Boeing 777 over Denver, with an escort of four military jets, with zero consideration for how that WOULDN’T incite mass panic? Thank you, Kyle Cluck and the folks at 9News for putting the kibosh on that one! Yikes… again, kind of seems like we’re forgetting.
And to include a purely anecdotal gripe about the desensitization of authority as displayed by the more youthful generations of our time, sneaking your “fart cart” through TSA to get high on your trip with your buddies directly undermines the legitimacy and efficacy of those very Federal guardrails that were erected to PROTECT decent society when traveling by air. No one likes TSA, but it’s anti-American to consciously act in a manner that thwarts the authority of those working to ensure safety — no matter how innocently you justify your deviance.
Hopefully, this introductory piece to LAS ANIMAS TIMES gives you, the beloved reader, hope for a future populated by only the thoughts of America’s most rational minds.

Well stated, Mr. Woodward! It’s a sad state of affairs in our country that your on-point message is even necessary, and yet here we are.
To add to the mix, there was Mamdani and AOC, openly laughing together at the 25th anniversary memorial service.
